The Quality Assurance and Control Specialist (QACS) will:

• Review documentation to ensure adherence to the required standards;
• Participate in test and validation activities to ensure product’s design is verified with agreed requirements;
• Advise personnel within the company on matters concerning quality assurance, codes, standards, and programs;
• Maintain quality control in accordance with established guidelines and standards;
• Document any deviations, lessons learned or non-conformances including non-conforming material reports;
• Ensure timely and orderly completion of inspections;
• Respond to customer issues, inquiries and audit requirements with appropriate sense of urgency and business criticality;
• Prepare quality non-conformance reports and assign personnel to address them;
• Perform hardware configuration management;
• Compare products (incoming, source/surveillance and outgoing inspection) with released engineering drawings, purchase orders and other contractual requirements as specified by the project authority;
• Prepare written reports of inspection results;
• Facilitate changes to operating procedures, policies, training materials, and other documents as required by the business;
• Perform contract reviews in relation to product quality requirements;
• Review material and equipment requisitions for adherence to quality standards and codes;
• Review statement of work, complete estimate orders and submit them for review.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent;
• 3 + years of hardware quality experience working in a related capacity or an equivalent combination of education and related experience;
• Knowledge of hardware assembly, inspection and testing standards;
• Knowledge of ISO 9001, Military or Nuclear industry quality standards are an asset;
• Organizational skills, and cross-group group work experience;
• Ability to work independently and with minimal supervision;
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills;
• Good MS Office skills, Excel, Word, Outlook;
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, an asset;
• Capable of performing hardware configuration management, an asset;
• Strong written and verbal communication skills;
• Bilingual (French and English)
