    Reporting to the Packaging supervisor, the Associate Structural Packaging Designer is responsible for creating toy packaging while meeting criteria for quality, originality, ingenuity and cost. Packaging design is done in close collaboration with the various departments in the company. His mandate extends from the conceptual stage to the start of production.


    Design, Development and Production

    - Carry out activities related to product ideation (sketches, research on competing products);
    - Synthesize the marketing strategy and the essence of the product to create an appealing and feasible package;
    - Develop original and ingenious packaging design;
    - Produce prototypes for approvals;
    - Prepare documents for submission and production;
    - Validate the package with its contents and take the actions necessary to execute the project;
    - Solve production problems;
    - Work with engineering, graphics, marketing and product designer.

    Management and communication

    - Respect schedules and priorities;
    - Transfer information to Graphic Designers and Project Managers;
    - Participate in on-going improvement of the Structural Packaging Department.


    - Bachelor’s or Technical degree in Packaging Engineering, Industrial Design or in a related field;
    - Ability to work on more than one project at a time, sometimes under pressure;
    - Autonomous;
    - Ability to be a team worker;
    - Good manual dexterity;
    - Bilingual (French and English);
    - And a touch of madness!


    - Knowledge of Artios, Photoshop and Illustrator (asset);
    - Knowledge of Autocad, Solidworks, MS Office;
    - 3D and 2D modeling;
    - Knowledge of packaging materials (cardboard, paper, plastic, etc.) and manufacturing processes.
