Position: Junior Procurement Agent – Manufacturing/Technical Industry
Location: Montreal
Salary: Up to $50K per year
Perks: Full benefits after 3 months, vacation, personal days

In this role, you will be responsible for finding potential suppliers and negotiating prices and terms for purchases, in addition to maintaining supplier relationships, strategic sourcing, cost reduction and process improvements.

You will assure availability of regularly stocked and speciality merchandise, as well as outside support services to meet production and customer service requirements.

Commodity responsibilities include raw materials, component parts, semi-finished products and finished goods.


- Minimum 2 years of purchasing or buying experience – a must
- Background in the Manufacturing or Technical industry – a must
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, engineering, manufacturing, or a combination of education and equivalent experience
- Strong computer proficiency in MS Excel and ERP systems – preferably Epicor
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills English and French (3.5/5)
- Multitasking skills and ability to work independently with minimum supervision
- Good judgment, tact, diplomacy and interpersonal skills
- Attention to detail, good negotiation skills and ability to think outside of the box
- Ability to handle stress and priority changes - Continuous improvement and Lean Six Sigma experience – a strong asset
