    Role Summary:

    The Analyst, U.S. Taxation role is to provide support to the Senior Tax Manager in all mandates related to U.S. taxes matters while working with other members of the tax team.

    Primary Responsibilities:

    In charge of preparing U.S. Corp. Tax returns;
    Prepare quarterly and year-end U.S. tax provision;
    In charge of U.S. states, county and cities business filings;
    Assist in transfer pricing analysis and updates;
    Assist with U.S. tax audit and government inquiries;
    Liaise with external tax consultants on compliance mandate;
    Perform tax research and provide advice on a variety of mandates supporting operations, transactions and projects for the U.S. operations;
    Identify potential tax issues and risks facing transactions;
    Prepare technical tax position memorandums on U.S. tax issues and filing positions;
    Develop and present U.S. tax guidelines and training to other departments;
    Identify U.S. tax incentives and government grants, and manage proper filing.

    Qualifications and competencies:

    Bachelor in Finance or Accounting;
    CPA designation (CA, CMA, CGA);
    Minimum of 3-5 years experience in U.S. corporate tax;
    Knowledge of tax research tools and OneSource/GoSystem;
    Have a vast knowledge of U.S. tax issues that may impact a large variety of transactions;
    Possess business acumen, a strong personality and excellent analytical skills;
    Possess strong communication skills;
    Demonstrate initiative and leadership;
    Bilingual: French and English (written and spoken).
