    SITE ACCOUNTANT

    Our Lachute facility is currently looking to hire a Site Accountant to join our team. The Site Accountant reports to the Canadian Manufacturing Controller and is responsible for managing inventory, maintaining the general ledger and providing financial and analytical support to the operational teams at our Lachute facility. Additionally, the Site Accountant is responsible for providing accurate and timely financial reporting to the senior leadership team.

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Inventory accounting including inventory management, production costing, production forecasting and analysis‬
    Determine standard costs, review actual vs standard costing and adjust assumptions based on absorption rates
    Ensure WIP inventory is accurately tracked and transferred through the production system
    Prepare monthly and quarterly financial reports and facility-based reconciliations of balance sheet and income statement accounts including financing transactions, intercompany transactions and revenue accounts
    Prepare reports for operational managers to improve efficiency and reduce costs
    Prepare monthly, quarterly and year-end working papers and financial reports and assist with year-end audits and reviews‬
    Assist in budget preparation and cash flow projections
    Prepare various ad-hoc reports in a timely and accurate manner
    Ensure compliance with IFRS, internal controls, accounting systems and policies‬
    Assist with the maintenance and implementation of internal controls, policies and procedures
    Provide support to Canadian Manufacturing Controller and Corporate Controller when required
    Other special projects / duties as required

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration‬
    Enrollment in or completion of CPA, CGA and/or CMA, programs
    Minimum 3 years’ experience of full cycle accounting in a high-volume environment preferably in the manufacturing or related industry.
    Excellent overall verbal and written communication skills in both French and English
    Cost accounting experience would be an asset
    Self-motivated and customer focused
    Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, ability to multi-task and ability to exercise independent judgment.
    Advanced Excel skills‬
    Experience working in an ERP would be an asset
    Flexibility to assist with various tasks within the finance team environment‬
