    In this role, you will have a variety of responsibilities related to execution of the full payroll cycle, preparation of reports and the month-end close. As part of an experienced team, you will have the opportunity to participate in the continuous improvement of our payroll practices and in the transition to new approaches, particularly a new cloud-based HR management system.
    - Process payroll for all types of employees (regular, time sheets and director’s fees).
    - Act as an internal resource for information relating to employees’ files and answer questions from HR representatives and employees.
    - Perform all operations associated with personnel changes (hiring, transfers, promotions, departures).
    - Enter and process time transactions for specific employee groups.
    - Calculate, enter and perform follow-ups on information pertaining to the various types of parental leave.
    - Process transactions for taxable benefits.
    - Load payroll-related interfaces.
    - Process remittances (DAS, pension, garnishment, etc.).
    - Participate in tests to upgrade the HR and Payroll system related to legislative changes, validate income taxes and version changes.
    - Participate in the year-end procedure, account assessment and preparation of tax slips.
    - Prepare and assess various payroll and finance reports.  

    - DCS in human resources management or accounting
    - Minimum five (5) years’ experience in a similar position;
    - Experience processing payroll in keeping with Canadian legal obligations (CLC).
    - Canadian Payroll Association certification is an asset.
    - Analytical skills and capacity to synthesize
    - Demonstrated autonomy and ability to prioritize 
    - Team spirit and flexibility
    - Demonstrated sense of responsibility and commitment to quality
    - Good planning and organizational skills
    - Proven confidence in processing files
    - Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
    - Familiarity with PeopleSoft HR and payroll software (major asset)
    - Knowledge of database query tools (SQL queries)
    - Fluency in French and English (spoken and written)
