    Aon is looking for a Head of Specialties Unit Broking



    Being part of a market-leading team, you will contribute to the creation of concrete results for our clients by applying innovative and effective solutions, within our group Aon Risk Solutions in Montreal.





    Your impact as a Head of Specialties Unit Broking:



    Under the direction of the Montreal Broker Manager, the unit leader will develop and direct all brokerage activities for small to mid-sized businesses that promote a relationship of service, collaboration and trust with Aon customers. Focus will be on in increased retention rates and revenue growth.





    Responsibilities of the position and Distinctive value to the client



    Under the direction of the Montreal Broking Manager, work with sales and service teams to:


    Formulate and execute optimal product and investment strategies, defined by category and segment, to meet specific customer needs.
    Execute nationally approved and nationally approved brokerage strategies, plans and procedures.
    Provide advice to other national broking leaders on insurance markets, best practices, strategies and guidelines to support the delivery of excellent customer service.
    Manage the specialties brokerage team to support the delivery of excellent customer service.
    Oversee unit/team plans and strategies to meet performance metrics, communicate and facilitate accountability, and promote the ideas and involvement of Aon management



    Operational effectiveness


    Ensure that global, national and local brokerage strategies are executed in support of global / national / local business plans.
    In accordance with sales and service initiatives, ensure the implementation of regional / local performance standards and service standards for all marketing activities.
    Ensure that brokerage strategies are implemented through the effective deployment of brokerage resources to increase sales and systematically improve service delivery to clients.
    Use of insurance mechanisms created by Aon.
    Design products and solutions to meet customer needs as determined by sales and service teams.
    Build relationships with new insurers, as determined by client and organizational needs.
    Lead the use of Aon resources, databases and technology solutions to achieve optimal results for clients.
    Consistent with national sales and service initiatives, ensure the adoption of performance and service standards for all brokerage activities.





    Talent Management


    Ensure that there are sufficient qualified resources within the Montréal brokerage team and deploy these resources according to the needs of the company.
    Promote cross-training and flow of brokerage resources to other business units to improve business performance.

    Support the achievement of organizational goals and service delivery to valued clients by creating positive and productive brokerage teams, coaching and developing managers, and recognizing individual and collective achievements.
    Set objectives, coach and advise direct reports on the achievement of objectives and provide feedback on performance.
    In collaboration with Human Resources, identify and deploy effective succession, performance management, learning and development solutions, including structured mentoring programs

    At least 7 to 10 years of business insurance experience

    Excellent knowledge of Aon's customer service portfolio and products
