FINANCE SUPERVISOR The Manitoulin-Sudbury District Social Services Administration Board seeks an energetic, well-organized and competent team player to supervise the day-to- day administration of its financial services. This is a full time (35 hours per week) position. Reporting to the Director of Finance, key position responsibilities are: l Daily financial duties similar to Finance Assistants. l Design efficient workflow systems. l Implement changes in internal practices. l Develop policies in conjunction with Director of Finance. l Develop procedures for the day to day work of the Finance Department. l Develop inventory control system for the entire organization. l Develop and monitor procurement processes for consolidated purchasing across the organization. l Develop financial reporting procedures. l Supervise the process of year-end audit working paper preparation. l Be the Contact Lead for outside ministries, municipalities and suppliers. l Supervise staff. Qualifications: l University Degree in Accounting/Business or 3-year Community College Diploma in Accounting. l Completion of / or progression towards a professional accounting designation (CA, CMA, CGA) will be an asset. l A thorough knowledge of accounting principles and practices normally gained through relevant experience. l Excellent analytical, administrative, interpersonal and communication skills. l Ability to organize/prioritize workflow and meet deadlines. l Extensive knowledge of computerized Accounting systems and other standard office programs (Windows, Word, Excel, Access, Outlook etc.). l Valid Ontario class G drivers' licence. l Bilingualism English/French is considered an asset.
