The Quality Assurance department is an integral part of Rogers ITS. Our department is responsible for performing verification and validation of various applications in use across the Wireless and Cable lines of business using various technologies and platforms. We deliver this service by partnering with our strategic vendors.
Responsibilities Include:
* Interact with vendors and gather relevant information during evaluations and selection RFI/RFP (Requests for Information/Requests for Proposal)
* Assist in vendor selection process and participate in negotiations as a testing/quality assurance representative.
* Coordinate all parties as part of the contracting process (procurement, legal, etc.)
* Ensure compliance with corporate policy and procedures related to vendor management (including audit procedures).
* Active member of policy and procedure review/improvement sessions.
* Identify best practice opportunities and where appropriate share across other Rogers groups
* Accountable for the consistent performance of the 3^rd party vendor and realization of business value
* Assist, monitor, review and manage reports (KPI's and metrics) that outline and track performance.
* Participate in Quality calibration sessions and provide feedback
* Ensures vendor contract parameter compliance
* Ensure that Vendor performs root cause analysis and has implemented action plans where performance is below target or Vendor is in breach
* Ensure that change control processes are in place and adhered to
* Solve business challenges, lead projects, manage relationship and coordinate communication. Including leading the escalation process with vendor
* Post-secondary education in a business-related field or equivalent work experience
* Minimum of 5-7 years progressive IT services experience and preferably with Vendor Management experience
* Experience with working in a virtual environment
* Experience in leading matrix teams
* Deep working knowledge of quality assurance and testing methodologies
* Demonstrated ability to coach, motivate, and performance manage a team in an extremely high-paced environment
* Results oriented with a proven ability to meet both short-term and long-term business objectives
* Strong planning, organizational and project management skills, with the ability to anticipate problems and opportunities, and develop effective strategies with clear objectives
* Strong negotiating skills
* Strong practical knowledge of Project Management fundamentals - e.g. PMP
* Strong practical knowledge of Quality Management methodologies
* Proven ability to communicate effectively in written and verbal form
* Able to work independently, deadlines and achieve goals
* Proven ability to prepare and deliver professional documents and presentations to all levels of an organization
* Highly motivated and adaptable with proven interpersonal and leadership skills
* Flexible in working locations & hours. E.g. work on vendors premises
* Proficient in MS Office: Work, Excel, and PowerPoint
