SUMMARY OF ROLE

The Manager, Communications will support the Senior Manager, Communication to develop and execute strategy and tactics that promote new and existing YPG products and services that positively position the Yellow Pages directory business and brand.

The Manager, Communications will be required to liaise with various internal stakeholders and coordinate and manage a variety of communications projects. The candidate also requires proven media relations skills (including social media) and will be responsible for the day-to-day drafting of media materials, internal communications materials and the daily press/media review.

KEY AREAS OF RESPONSABILITY

PR Marketing
* Coordinate PR marketing programs and contribute to the development of associated materials.
* Coordinate marketing communications events.
Public Relations
* Contribute to the development and coordinate the implementation of PR programs.
* Contribute creative ideas that help support the company's business objectives.
* Provide effective issues management support in collaboration with impacted departments and internal stakeholders.
Media Relations
* Provide media relations support to Senior Manager and corporate spokespersons.
* Research, draft and revise media materials, key messages, Q&A and other communications materials.
* Maintain and organize media materials, clippings and contact lists as well as the daily corporate press/media review.

REQUIREMENTS
* Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, public relations, management or equivalent training.
* 5 years related experience preferably with public relations or advertising agency
* Must be fully bilingual (Oral and written French and English).
* Strong organizational skills with ability to multi-task.
* Attention to detail and strong coordination skills
* Excellent proof reading skills to ensure quality control.
* Strong people skills and a team player
* Superior written and oral communication skills (bilingual)
* A broad knowledge of marketing disciplines and social media
* Action oriented.
* A personable and professional attitude.
