Production and Logistics Coordinator (Food Industry) (#2388)

The General Manager of our client is looking to add a Production / Logistics Coordinator to their team. The position is temp to perm and is located in Vancouver. Main responsibilities for the position are: the coordination and execution of production orders, including pricing, inventory control, ordering supplies, product payment, delivery to retail stores, and production output. This position also reviews and solves logistical problems throughout the production area.

It will pay $18 - 20 / hour for temp. & can go permanent for the right applicant at about $35 - 38 K.

Key Areas of Responsibility:

- Coordinate food orders from retail, wholesale, and catering.
- Coordinate and oversee production assembly, packaging, labelling, and payments.
- Coordinate and oversee proper storage, rotation and turnover of all supplies
- Maintain product inventory at optimum levels
- Update and maintain food costing database
- Coordinate and follow-through all shipping/ receiving
- Coordinate and follow-through all deliveries
- Supervision of production staff
- Coordination and administration of staff scheduling
- Prepare sales orders from customers' invoices?




Position Requirements:

- Minimum 2 years experience in bakery/food production
- Be able to think under pressure and be resilient
- Food Safe 1 Certification
- Supervisory and scheduling experience
- Experience with inventory management
- Strong Analytical skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong organizational skills, ability to multi-task, and superior attention to detail
- Knowledge of basic accounting
