TRANSLATOR/PROOFREADER
ENGLIGH TO BRAZILIAN PORTUGESE

Our Creative Services department is currently recruiting for a Translator/Proofreader (English to Brazilian Portuguese) in our Longueuil office (located in Longueuil). This is a full-time, permanent position and our standard work week is 37.5 hours. Our Creative Services team is responsible for the translation and packaging adaptation of Hasbro’s world-class portfolio of brands. Below are the main responsibilities for the Translator/Proofreader position:


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Translate from English to Brazilian Portuguese documents pertaining to toys and games
 Provide high quality language-related services in an accurate and timely manner
 Proofread/revise all documents translated by outside suppliers
 Proofread and approve all Portuguese artworks (packaging, POS material, etc) as per corporate and legal requirements
 Acknowledge receipt of translation requests and ensures formatting of internal documents are returned/completed as desired
 Acts as main resource person for all Portuguese terminological and/or technical research activities and will liaise with external translators and our Brazilian partners to resolve questions and ensure accuracy of terminology
 Contribute to the development of English/Portuguese database to standardize terminology


EXPERIENCE/COMPETENCIES:

 Degree from a recognized Brazilian institution in Translation or equivalent
 Minimum of 3 years experience in English to Brazilian Portuguese translation
 Proficiency in Word Office suite and interest in learning other software applications
 Team oriented
 Ability to consult with and provide credible and respected advice to an array of internal and external stakeholders
 Proven track record to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, fun environment

Nous sommes présentement à la recherche d’un(e) traducteur/traductrice (Anglais vers le Portugais brésilien) au sein du service créatif à notre bureau situé à Longueuil. C’est un poste régulier à temps plein et les grandes lignes des responsabilités:

 Traduction de l’anglais vers le Portugais brésilien de différents documents tels règles de jeux, emballages, publicité, etc.
 Relecture d’épreuves (règles de jeu, instructions, emballages) réalisées par des pigistes
 Partage des connaissances et des compétences avec les autres collègues.

Nous cherchons une personne qui détient son diplôme universitaire en traduction d’une institution reconnue du Brésil avec un minimum de trois années d’expérience en traduction. Le candidat devrait être en mesure de travailler sous pression au sein d’une équipe dynamique de professionnels polyvalents et souples.
