Part-time Caseworker
28 hours per week

Big Brothers/Big Sisters of St. Thomas-
Elgin has been fostering positive self
esteem and competency in children in
Elgin county by providing and promoting
friendship, guidance and encouragement
for thirty nine years.

Responsible to the Executive Director

The incumbent will provide casework
management in accordance with the
National Standards set out by Big Brothers
Big Sisters of Canada. S/he will be responsible
for matching volunteer mentors with
children and youth and to monitor those
matches to ensure the healthy development
of the relationships.
The incumbent will:

- share our agency mission and our core
values
- possess a minimum 2 year postsecondary
diploma in a related field
eg. education, social or human services,
child & youth work, family studies
- have strong computer skills
- have effective oral and written
communication skills
- have strong problem solving skills
- have the ability to interact with people
of all ages and cultural backgrounds
- have the ability to work independently
and as part of a team
- have the ability to work flexible hours
- have access to a vehicle
