Title: Director, Health & Safety
Location: Greater Montreal Area

The Position:
The Director, Health & Safety is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the organization's H&S programs, directing health and safety activities for all related locations.

The incumbent will be responsible for ensuring that the organization is compliant with H&S regulatory requirements and for developing an overall Health & Safety culture.

Responsibilities:
• Develop, manage and execute the planning and coordination of all Canadian programs and activities for Health and Safety.
• Assist the plants and other locations with developing, implementing and sustaining location-specific policies, procedures and programs to achieve and maintain compliance with H&S laws and regulations.
• Maintain working knowledge of federal, provincial, and local health and safety regulations.
• Drive H&S compliance through the development of H&S Champions.
• Chair health and safety teams and direct the activities of its members.

Required Education, Skills & Experience:
• Bachelor's degree in related field, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
• Minimum of eight to ten years' relevant experience.
• Bilingualism (English and French) strongly preferred.
• Strong strategic thinking skills with broad-based business acumen and experience.
• Strong customer-orientation and ability to develop relationships and effectively persuade management team members when necessary.
• A self-starter with the proven ability to conceptualize and lead change initiatives.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.
