This is an onsite position in Burnaby (5x a week in the office). Candidates must be in British Columbia to be considered for this role.

 

 

This is a new position with an established organization in the pharmaceutical industry. Your role will be divided into 3 key pieces – people management, vendor / process management and hands on work. You will lead a team of 4 User Support Specialists in this position and must have previous people management experience for this role.

  

 

The IT team has major projects coming up over the next few years, and this is a great opportunity to get involved during the early stages. For example: you will work with key stakeholders in the organization and help implement a new ITSM ticketing platform. You will also work directly with vendors and onboard and manage a new Managed Service Provider. Previous vendor management experience will be required for this position.

 

 

What you will do and how you will make an impact …

 

 

[-] You will manage a team of 4 User Support specialists, that are responsible for initial triage, and Tier 1 – 2 requests.

 

 

[-] You will engage with and manage a global MSP and will be responsible for vendor management.

 

 

[-] You and your team will be responsible for endpoint management, and you will be a Tier 2 escalation point. You will be hands on and technical as needed.

 

 

[-] You will lead enterprise-wide projects, such as hardware and software refreshes. This organization is in a hybrid environment and has a mix of on prem and Azure servers. You will work in a Windows environment, with Windows 11.

 

 

[-] You will be responsible for documentation and implementing best practices. ITIL / ITSM certifications and previous experience will be very helpful.

[-] Proven experience working in a Windows environment and with Office 365

 

[-] Previous experience and / or certifications for ITIL / ITSM
