In order to provide decision-making support for future company investments, you will also perform analysis of the operating results and financial performance of core business segments in accordance with public reporting requirements. Vancouver-, British Columbia will be the location for this Senior Financial Analyst.




Your responsibilities




- Assist in other ad-hoc analysis and presentation requests




- Develop repeatable business, operational and financial processes widely understood by all necessary teams




- Work closely with Functional leads - provide management reporting, accounting and compliance guidance, and ensure alignment of operational initiatives




- Drive existing management reporting - analyze financial results, distill and synthesize issues, communicate key messages to senior management




- Drive improved management reporting - work with Operations and Accounting to more discreetly and accurately track financial results




- Execute monthly and quarterly reporting to senior management by analyzing financial results, synthesizing/distilling key trends, assessing future and current business risks, and articulating critical updates




- Implement financial analysis as part of business performance optimization




- Cultivate positive relationships with key business partners and Finance/Accounting leadership


- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)




- A strong ability to work with office systems, reporting software, databases and other BI tools recommended




- Efficient with process reengineering and optimization




- Foundational knowledge in forecasting & modeling




- General familiarity with NetSuite




- Experience with forecasting




- Knowledge of variance analysis




- Demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Power BI




- Financial analysis experience




- Adeptness in Perform Trend Analysis




- Practical knowledge of Microsoft Excel




- Deep understanding of financial modeling




- Active problem-solver who listens for customer cues and actively resolves problems with grace and integrity




- Applicants are required to hold a Finance, Business, or related field BA/BS degree




- Ability to apply critical thinking and critical decision making skills with management




- Skilled in working cross functionally across teams and gaining favor of key decision makers




- CPA or MBA preferred




- Relevant experience in operations finance required




- Demonstrated understanding of Microsoft PowerPoint
