We are looking for a detail-oriented Cost Accountant with expertise in manufacturing operations to oversee cost accounting activities and provide valuable insights to support decision-making and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost analysis, inventory valuation, and production processes within a manufacturing environment.




Responsibilities:



- Manage and maintain cost accounting systems, processes, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely reporting of manufacturing costs
- Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing costs, including direct labor, materials, overhead, and variances, to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization
- Perform regular inventory reconciliations and valuation analyses to ensure accuracy and integrity of inventory records and financial reporting
- Assist in the development and implementation of cost control measures, process improvements, and efficiency initiatives to enhance profitability and operational performance
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual cost reports and variance analyses for management review, highlighting key drivers and recommendations for improvement
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements related to cost accounting and inventory management




Qualifications:
- Previous experience in cost accounting, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Strong understanding of cost accounting principles, inventory valuation methods, and manufacturing processes
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights
- Detail-oriented with a high degree of accuracy and strong organizational skills
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proven ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
