Our fast paced and fast growing CNC machine shop in Western Canada is creating a Drummondville (Québec) based operation. We are the largest 5 axis machine shop in Western Canada, and we are now looking for two CNC machining center programmers to join our team.

CNC Programmer

Description:
The candidate will be programming CNC machining centers, from 3 to 5 axes. Depending on experience, the programmer will become involved in the early stage of process planning, fixture design, tooling requirements, and all aspects related to the manufacturing of a given project.

Requirements:
 CNC machining center setup experience (4-5 axis is an asset)
 Extensive understanding of g-codes
 Some CAD/CAM experience required
 Siemens NX (former UGS NX) knowledge would be an asset
 Must work well in a team, but also be very autonomous
 Position may require occasional business trips to Vancouver

Using its FMS (Flexible Manufacturing System), Modern Engineering provides customers with the unique benefit of ordering precision components in any volume and having them delivered just in time. We have several 3 axis, 4-axis, and 5 axis machining centers, along with a variety of multi turrets/spindles turning centers. We recently expanded by opening a second machine shop, and are now in the process of opening a programming office in Drummondville, Quebec.
