Heavy Equipment Operators are expected to effectively operate a variety of heavy equipment used for the winter maintenance of runways, roadways, grounds, and more. These positions require using French on the job.
The requirements to become a Heavy Equipment Operator at Montréal-Trudeau Airport:
• A high school diploma (DES).
• A valid Class 1 driver’s licence.
• Experience in operating a variety of heavy equipment such as graders, backhoes, heavy-duty trucks, snowplows, snowblowers, sweepers, caterpillar tractors, loaders, etc.
• Availability to work shifts.
• A heavy-equipment operator’s competency card, an important asset.
Note: In addition to demonstrating a spirit of collaboration and respect, you must be familiar with Health, Safety and Environment matters.
