Translator – English to French- Vancouver

As a translator for our client, you will be part of a translation team, working closely with your Translation Line Manager and project teams. You will be responsible for delivering translations of the highest quality and accuracy on time and within budget. This posting is offered at our client’s head office in British-Columbia and the candidate must work on site.
Main Duties
• Translation of technical, marketing, general and multimedia texts into your native language
• Review of work of other in-house and external translators
• Understanding and following the client’s linguistic processes and procedures.
• Producing quality translations within given deadlines
• Liaising with client reviewers on linguistic issues
• Managing terminology effectively
• Using translation tools to enhance quality and productivity
• Linguistic testing of software, help and websites
• Linguistic checking of DTP output
• Linguistic support for graphics, DTP and engineering departments
Job requirements
• University degree in translation or any other relevant combination of experience and training
• A least 3 years of experience in technical, marketing and general translation
• Well organized and methodological
• Knowledge of MS Office
• Knowledge and experience of translation software will be considered an asset.
