Summary:
We are looking for a senior software developer with solid technical insight and leadership. You will have the opportunity to contribute in areas such as requirements definition, product architecture, functional design, integration strategies, system performance and scalability, system deployment and overall corporate development practices.
Experience developing commercial software products and/or enterprise level solutions using the Ruby on Rails Framework a major plus.
This position requires a technically experienced and sophisticated programmer who is fast, detail oriented and able to solve problems quickly and efficiently.
Responsibilities
-Contribute to game and web platform development and deployment
-Ongoing maintenance and release management for one or more web instances
-Implement new components (includes requirements gathering, deployment and documentation)
-Packaging, deploying and versioning of all components
-Implement Tools front-end and manage QC assigned to your projects
-Communicate technical issues, questions, and concerns to Technical Lead
-Optimize app server performance and architecture
-Integrate 3rd party APIs
-Qualifications, Staging, Certification
Experience
5+ years backend development experience using one of the following
5+ languages Ruby, Ruby on Rails, .NET, Python
3+ years experience using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Apache, MySQL and
3+ Linux/Unix
Experience building and consuming REST and/or SOAP web-services
Experience building advanced deployment tools using Capistrano, Puppet, CFEngine
Self motivated, detail-oriented and organized
Proven understanding of agile development best practices
Strong oral and written communication skills
Experience with MongoDB a plus
Experience using git a plus
Quality Assurance experience a plus
Education
Bachelors degree in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics or equivalent experience
