Technomedia situated in Downtown Montreal is the publisher of TM SIGAL® software, Canadian leader in the design and implementation of web-based management solutions for human capital development.
As a Bilingual Technical Writer, your primary responsibilities will include to write all documentation for Technomedia’s product TM SIGAL®. You will also elaborate the user’s guide documentation intended for our clients as well as train them on how to use the company applications. .
Responsibilities:
- Define and recommend standards and structure for the user’s guide documentation for all company applications in order to insure that all users’ guide documentation meets quality standards, and is easy to consult, use and understand.
- Write user’s guide documentation consistent with the above-mentioned standards and structure in order to insure optimal use of company applications.
- Analyze existing information and mechanisms for providing the information.
- Suggest ways to restructure information to better user needs
- Support management and staff in the editing, proofreading and translation of various documents.
- Prepare online-help documentation.
- Report all application bugs to the appropriate personnel.
- Train clients on how to use company applications according to their needs and insure a quality transfer of knowledge to the client.
Requirements:
- Bachelor ‘s degree or substantial experience in IT, Science or related technical field
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to illuminate complex technical topics
- Fluently bilingual in English and French ( oral and written)
- Solid experience in software user documentation and desktop publishing, including graphics
