  • Payroll Technician

  • Our client is a very prestigious company looking to hire a Payroll Technician for their office in the West Island.

    Salary: 45-55K

    Reporting directly to the Pay Master, you will be an integral part of the financial team with responsibilities covering the preparation of pay for 500+ employees, prepare government reports and assist with the month end process.

    Job Requirements:

    -Excellent bilingualism (French/English), spoken and written
    -3 years of experience in payroll
    -Experience with large volume
    -DEC in accounting
    -Experience in a unionized company an asset
    -Excellent knowledge of MS Office

    Job Description:

    -Process payroll for 500+ employees
    -Act as the contact person for employees and Managers
    -Update employee files
    -Ensure procedures comply with legislation
    -Prepare governmental reports
    -Calculate and update employee vacation files
    -Complete month-end and year-end procedures (journal entries, GL account reconciliation, etc.)
    -Follow up on group insurance
