  • Hartco Inc. is currently looking for an experienced, skilled, and energetic Payroll Administrator. The ideal candidate will be bilingual (i.e. English and French) and will have a track record of success in a similar position. The Payroll Administrator is responsible for the day to day tasks related to payroll. The pay is on a semi-monthly basis and is spread in different provinces.

    Responsabilities :
    Coordinate the payroll process and verify payroll data
    Balance the payroll
    Balance the journal entries and enter in the accounting system
    Balance the remittances
    Prepare documents related to creation and termination of employees
    Update and reconcile vacation and sick day banks
    Enroll new employees in the benefits and retirement programs, and keep the information up to date
    Perform monthly reconciliations
    Produce monthly reports
    Perform year-end reconciliation and T4/Relevé 1 summaries
    Produce various year end reports
    Answer questions and requests from leaders, employees and external organizations
    Participate in projects

    Qualifications et compétences requises :
    DEC in Administration
    Certification from The Canadian Payroll Association (CPA)
    5 years of experience as a Payroll Administrator
    Work experience with ADP Pay@Work or Pay Specialist
    Knowledge of labor standards
    Knowledge of Workers’ Compensation related standards
    Ability to determine priorities and to manage time effectively
    Ability to work efficiently within a team
    Ability to simultaneously manage several tasks
    Excellent customer service skills
    Excellent written and oral communication skills in both French and English
    Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel)
