Marketing Manager

The Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing plans for the organization. This includes assisting in the development of marketing strategies for new and existing products, and working with sales channels to build targeted marketing activities that will help achieve overall sales and profitability objectives.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and implement marketing strategies that will generate qualified sales leads and increase revenues in all product lines.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of the product portfolio, from launch to end of life.
• Determine pricing and profitability margins based on competitive information as well as sales feedback.
• Initiate research, development, and implementation of new marketing programs, including direct marketing, web marketing, product promotions, trade shows, workshops, advertising, sales tools and other initiatives, in accordance with brand identity guidelines.
• Analyze sales results and market trends to determine success and profitability of past or future marketing programs; make recommendations based on findings.
• Oversee the product launch process, including defining and tracking schedules, developing support material and collateral, communicating key information to sales and distributors on time.
• Collaborate with the Product Managers to define and refine product requirements, improvements, and other specifications, based on feedback from customer accounts, sales groups, and other stakeholders.
• Provide accurate competitive analyses for use in overall product and marketing strategies.
• Prepare and deliver product presentations, customer briefings and other sales tools to Regional Sales Managers and Sales Representatives that will drive sales within their areas.
• Design and attend relevant trade show in order to build relationships and promote the organization’s initiatives.
• Work with external designers and agencies to produce marketing collateral and 2 yearly product catalogues, in accordance with brand identity guidelines.
• Occasional travel is required.
• Employee supervision.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Demonstrated success in product launches and execution of sales and marketing strategies.
• Highly effective project management, prioritization, planning and time-management skills to meet deadlines.
• Strong problem identification, problem solving and quantitative skills to conduct in-depth business analyses.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills, with a high degree of tact and diplomacy.
• Knowledge of industrial wholesale sales principles, methods, practices, and techniques.
• Ability to create and edit sales materials and presentations.
• Ability to manage and motivate a team of marketing professionals.
• Results oriented person and team player.
• Easily adaptable to a fast-paced environment.
• High level of proficiency with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.

EXPERIENCE:
• Direct responsibility in business planning and implementation of marketing activities.
• Prior experience in using the Web as a Sales/Marketing vehicle.

Requirements

  • Essential - University degree in Marketing or related field
  • Essential - 5 to 8 years of experience in a marketing mgt

Knowledge and abilities

  • Essential - Bilingual (French and English)
  • Essential - Excellent communication skills
