  • Description

    The human resources generalist will act as a hybrid generalist with a talent acquisition role. In partnership with the clients-managers, he/she will be in charge of the entire staffing process (from recruitment to hiring and induction) for his/her business units. In addition, he/she will help the human resources Business partners perform their tasks in relation to human resources processes and practices, for all the business units of our Industrial division located in Canada. He/she provides advice on procedure and policy interpretation, skills and performance management, retention strategies and employee relations issues. This post will play an integral role in aligning human resources and culture to achieve our business goals and increased company growth and profitability objective.

    Core Responsabilities
    Promote the Talent Acquisition strategy and manage the full staffing process cycle, from the resource plan to the job offer and induction, for all client groups assigned;
    Participate in the development of creative and profitable talent acquisition strategies, and drive recruitment for a broad range of positions to meet current and future business needs;
    Act as contact point for all dedicated managers and employees of IBG entities with regard to topics, issues as well as HR questions and requests;
    Serve as the HR subject matter expert for managers and employees, establish the HR department as a credible and trustworthy resource;
    Advise and assist customers (managers and employees) in the current administrative programs, processes and policies;
    Support the labor relations team in performing their day-to-day labor relations actions in the field for the Industrial division;
    Ensure compliance of the applicant tracking system; track and report general recruitment metrics;
    Gather and disseminate HR data including key performance indicators to assess and improve the HR service;
    Participate to the annual employee appraisal process;
    Update job descriptions for salaried employees;
    Participate in different special HR projects (programs implementation, pay equity, wage structure, etc.);
    Support the training strategy in conjunction with the training Specialist;
    Support the HR team in the completion of other HR projects;
    Prepare notes, memos or letters;
    Any other related tasks.
    *LI-SP1 Qualifications

    Undergraduate university degree in HRM or labor relations;
    Bilingualism (French/English – spoken and written);
    Certified member of CRIA or CRHA (an advantage);
    At least one year's experience as HR generalist or in a similar position;
    At least 3 years' experience in recruitment;
    Knowledge of Canadian labor laws (an advantage);
    Proficient in MS Office applications;
    Customer-oriented approach;
    Ability to act as a strategic partner to organization-wide HR as well as management teams;
    Demonstrated understanding of effective human resource management and support of a business, including strong staffing skills;
    Ability to influence leaders and stimulate change;
    Ability to analyze, summarize and embrace thinking outside the box;
    The position requires travel estimated at 10% to 15%;
    Excellent time management, autonomy and flexibility.
