While reporting to the HR Director, as a Human Resources Advisor, you act as an expert business partner who balances the needs of clients, employees, as well as business objectives to deliver professional, effective HR solutions that comply with internal policies and Federal/Provincial laws.
-Lead and guide management to resolution on all employee relation matters; this includes coaching, performance management, progressive discipline, etc.
-Maintain positive employee relations between managers and employees by consulting, relationship building and clear & effective two-way communication
-Ensure compliance with all applicable policies and Employment and Labour laws and be the point of contact for local authorities
-Participate in all steps of recruitment process and provide an advisory role to management
-Maintain employee files related to benefits and events such as LOA, background checks, hiring, promotions, evaluations, transfers, departures and ensure employee files are duly documented and secured
-Ensure that performance appraisal are done in a timely manner and provide guidance and support accordingly
-Work collaboratively with other Corporate HR peers and departments to optimize processes
-Assist in HR Learning & Development as required
-Carry out on-boarding for all new employees
-Perform other cognate duties
-3 years human resources experience in progressive generalist roles or in recruitment
-Excellent bilingualism French and English (written and spoken) essential
-Completion of a relevant post-secondary education in Business and/ or Human Resources Management
-Ability to influence others, including skills in negotiation and conflict resolution
-A team player with a high degree of maturity and strong problem solving skills
-Excellent ability to prioritize, capacity to work under pressure and to adapt to priority changes
-Good knowledge of MS Office Suite
