DESCRIPTION

  • Under the authority of the garage supervisor, the incumbent performs maintenance and repair of motor vehicles, particularly heavy vehicles. It also performs repair and maintenance of hydraulic and pneumatic systems, routine maintenance and regular any heavy machinery.

    Has a technical training in mechanics, with a specialty heavy equipment;
    Has practical experience of at least five (5) years in maintenance of heavy equipment;
    Organized, responsible, independent, resourceful, and dynamic;
    Ability to work as a team.

    REPAIR OF MOTORIZED EQUIPMENT
    Perform an initial diagnosis about the anomaly pointed to a vehicle wheel;
    remover part or all of the engine or any of its components, including transmissions and differentials to ensure the nature of the anomaly;
    Identifies the true nature of the anomaly;
    Repairs or replaces defective parts;
    Inform the upper parts or materials needed to repair;
    Go up the engine or engine parts and components requiring his intervention;
    Repair or replace as necessary components of the braking system;
    Occasional repairs punctures.

    REGULAR CLEANING AND PREVENTIVE
    Performs routine maintenance of heavy equipment: lubrication, oil changes, checking all fluid levels, condition of hoses and belts, brake wear;
    Performs semi annual inspection of rolling stock on the road and, where appropriate, identify anomalies and carries out the repair;
    Conducts an annual inspection of rolling stock, taking the road, according to the tags issued by the SAAQ, to obtain the certificate of conformity. If abnormalities are detected, it proceeds on the spot repairs that are needed.
