Director of Maintenance

Oversees and coordinates the maintenance of building according to established standards and services required in the apartments and common areas.

Major tasks

1. Directs the maintenance\housekeeping staff (schedule, pay) in a union environment.
2. Executes the following maintenance (interior and exterior): maintenance and repair of the building, equipment and apartments, according to maintenance standards and safety regulations. (painting, plastering, plumbing, basic carpentry, basic electricity work that does not require a license)
3. Ensures that its staff develops friendly relations with residents, their families, visitors and external stakeholders.
4. Coordinates and supervises the execution of work with subcontractors
5. Prepares the requisitions for purchases of materiel, executes the purchasing after approval, check reception and maintain an inventory.
6. Fill out forms and manuals to ensure efficient follow ups.

Requirements
College degree in mechanical engineering of building and / or have a very good experience in construction, carpentry, plumbing, painting, and building maintenance.
Minimum 10 years relevant experience
Minimum 1 year experience in personnel management
Computer literate
Bilingual
Demonstrate manual dexterity and have an eye for detail and finish
Ability to lift or push heavy objects .
Very good knowledge of HVAC.
