    Enterprise Infrastructure (EI) delivers and manages essential and innovative technology infrastructure solutions to Morgan Stanley’s businesses. EI is responsible for driving the production, operations, and engineering of our data centers, voice and data networking solutions, mainframe servers and databases, distributed computing, wireless technologies, and associated end user capabilities.


    Position Description:


    We are seeking a Developer to join the ITSM Engineering Team, working on the Run Book Automaton (RBA) platform, which is a core product for technology-wide automations and orchestrations of IT support processes. The candidate will be involved in integration of commercial software with the Firm’s infrastructure, building UX tools and applications for better adoption, and working closely with end users.


    In this role, the candidate will be exposed to Linux, Python, Apache/Tomcat, and distributed file systems, load balancing and clustering technologies. Familiarity with web services and MVC/SPA design methodologies, cross platform integration, and basic network and system administration are expected for the role.


    The developer will be working on requirement analysis and technical implementation of automatons.


    The developer will be working with globally distributed teams, and as such strong oral and written communication skills, are essential.

    The ITSM engineering team is part of the Enterprise Infrastructure organization, which provides horizontal technology services across all of the Firm’s business units.


    Qualifications


    Required Skills:


    - A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
    - Extensive knowledge of Javascript, CSS, HTML5 as well as familiarity of frameworks and libraries such as jQuery, and AngularJS
    - Knowledge of OO programming within JS as well as its quirks
    - Web Service and API design and development; (SOAP and RESTful), XML, JSON
    - Familiarity with User Interface design, browser performance and optimization.
    - Good verbal and written communications skills


    Nice to have skills:


    - Experience with Python, Shell, SQL will be considered as strong asset.
    - Experience with Perl Programming language
    - Understanding of Apache configuration
    - Data structure and algorithmic complexity analysis
    - Good understanding of the Linux operating systems
    - Familiarity with Java Programming language
    - Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle
    - ITIL Foundation Certification (or related experience)
