    Operations and Compliance Technology (OCT) develops strategic solutions that support key business processes, including Settlements, Confirmations, Regulatory Reporting, Position Keeping, Anti-Money Laundering and Trade Surveillance. Our clients include Institutional Securities Group, Wealth Management, Enterprise Operational Risk & Control, Risk, Internal Audit, Operations and Compliance.

    Position Description:

    Client Technology has a global team and growing its presence in Budapest, Montreal and Mumbai. We are looking for a world-class engineer for an exciting role as a Global Innovation Lead. As Innovation Lead, you will help explore, design and develop new solutions for a Firm-wide user base. The position requires good communication skills, ability to work together in cross-functional technical teams in different areas of the organization.

    Strong hands-on programming abilities, deep knowledge of systems architecture and latest tools and technologies in the machine learning and AI areas. Preferred candidates should be well-organized with a solid record of leading and delivering technical solutions at a program (department-wide or beyond) level that have deployed at scale.

    In this role, person will be responsible for:

    - Organizing the appropriate communication forums, R&D, and business interactions into a coherent program
    - Partnering with other teams locally in other regions to do technical innovation work
    - Interact with the business to discover business use cases requiring use of innovative technologies
    - Find new ways of solving existing use cases
    - Prototyping and integrating new innovative technologies for adoption.
    - Rapidly evaluate technologies and vendors for various use cases.
    - Strong problem solving skills and the ability to make hard trade-off decisions through prototyping and experience
    - Ability to work in both a highly collaborative environment as well as independently, without direct supervision
    - Have a natural passionate technical curiosity and enjoy learning new technologies
    - Strive to be a thought leader and advanced practitioner in creative tools and tactics; forward-thinking in understanding the emerging tools, technologies, and technology practices


    Skills Required

    - A minimum of 6 years of relevant experience
    - A bachelor degree in a relevant field
    - Understanding of the SDLC and agile, development practices
    - Object oriented design and Java development experience
    - Database skills including experience working with procedures, triggers and indexes
    - Knowledge of Unix tools and scripting (Perl, ksh/bash, Python, Autosys or any other relevant languages)
    - Ability and willingness to learn new technologies
    - Ability to propose general and cutting edge solution to various business use case
    - System architecture skills (especially 3/N-Tier applications)
    - Knowledge and recognition of basic design patterns
    - Exposure to designing a large-scale, real-time, business critical systems
    - Exposure to building financial systems
    - System architecture skills (especially 3/N-Tier applications)
    - Thorough knowledge of Java, Spring, Message Oriented Middleware, SOAP and REST APIs
    - Exposure to building financial systems
    - Strong Communication to engage with Senior Business Stakeholders
    - Prior experience of working in global teams
    - Skill to guide and coordinate with other developers

    Skills Desired

    - Knowledge of DB2
    - Knowledge of Investment banking operations (e.g. Confirm, Settlement, Positions, Corporate Actions, Gain/Loss, Tax etc)
    - Experience with Web GUI frameworks such as Angular JS is desirable, but not required
    - Exposure to big data platform including Hadoop and Spark is desirable
    - Exposure to machine learning and NLP tools is desirable
