Being a system administrator at SherWeb involves a lot more than simply providing support to users: You will be working with a team of more than 30 experienced administrators with whom you will constantly be learning!



    The Challenge: System Administrator, IT Operations



    As part of the Operations Team, reporting directly to the Vice-President of Operations and based out at our Sherbrooke office, the selected individual is primarily responsible for support and maintenance of Windows domains, Microsoft services such as Exchange and SharePoint as well as other services offered by SherWeb.



    You will be asked to:

    • Participate in advanced support and in the resolution of incidents and problems escalated by the team of Level 3 Technicians
    • Conduct depth investigations into the root causes leading to improvements needed for our different environments
    • Participate in the management of monitoring, updating and reporting tools
    • Participate in projects aiming at improving and optimizing our network
    • Develop a specialization in one of our services
    • Perform all other related tasks based on the needs of the organization



    You have a background that is similar to this:

    • DEC in Computer Science or equivalent combination in training and experience
    • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in system administration
    • Good ability in troubleshooting
    • In-depth experience in Microsoft system administration
    • Ability to speak and write perfectly in both English and French

    Knowing how to work with one of the followings is an asset:

    • Microsoft Exchange Server 2007/2010/2013
    • Microsoft SharePoint 2010/2013
    • Microsoft Lync 2010/2013
    • Microsoft SQL Server management
    • Scripting PowerShell
    • Clusters and high availability environments

    • You are organized, resourceful and can work independently.
    • You have a thirst for knowledge and are curious.
    • You like to analyze and solve problems.
