Institutional Securities Technology (IST) develops and oversees the overall technology strategy and bespoke technology solutions to drive and enable the Institutional businesses and enterprise-wide functions. Our clients include Fixed Income, Equities, Commodities, Investment Banking, Research and Global Capital Markets as well as Operations, HR and Corporate Services.
We are looking for a developer with a background in either Core Java or C# (Server side) to assist in building of our equity tools. Tools include functions like real-time Order Tracing & Order Exposure. The tools are centered around a Tibco StreamBase CEP (Complex Event Processing) backend, so experience in StreamBase is a plus, but not required.
Candidate will be responsible for both StreamBase development via StreamBase Studio as well as custom adapters that will interact with the StreamBase environment. The grand task at hand is to Turn Data into Useful Information. Our tools need to consume and process vast amounts of data from many sources to ultimately equip our users with the information that enables them to operate our trading environment.
- 3-5+ years of Java Core or C# Server Side experience
- Good communication skills both written verbal
- Linux shell scripting
- Problem solving skills
- StreamBase CEP (Complex Event Processing) or other CEPs a plus.
- SQL from a major database (Postgres, MySql, Sybase)
- Knowledge of Cassandra and/or other No-SQL stores
- Knowledge of institutional order flow a plus
- Low level Linux knowledge a plus
