    The Rogers Communications OSS division is focused on the mission-critical information systems that enable Network Operations and Engineering forces to pro-actively interact with Network devices for the purpose of Fault, Configuration, Performance and Accounting management.   OSS is currently offering a permanent, full-time employment opportunity as a Technical Expert - OSS Network Workflow Solutions.

    The solution-oriented professional will lead and execute all phases of development to deliver software solutions that enable Engineering and Network Operations process optimization that include the BMC Remedy ARS platform.


    The successful candidate will work in a team environment with responsibilities that include:
    •Strategic and business analysis to identify appropriate solutions to business needs.
    •Produce system documentation including design specifications, test plans, system architecture and process diagrams, along with solution evolution roadmaps
    •Develop, test and implement new solutions and system changes.
    •Provide development support

    • Overall 8 to 10 years of software development/analysis experience, including 4-5 years of Remedy AR Systems development experience.

    •An understanding of AR System data models and AR System API's, under V9.x minimum is prefered. 
    •Advanced experience in one or more programming languages such as Java or C.
    •Practical knowledge of Oracle Relational Database systems.
    •Being able to work on Unix and Windows platforms.
    •Basic networking knowledge.
    •Service Oriented Architecture/WEB Services are strong assets.
    •Proven ability to meet deadlines for multiple/concurrent projects
    •A strong and capable communicator both verbally and in writing, with the ability to frame technology issues in business terms and vice versa;
    •Strong interpersonal skills and a sense of team spirit
    •Self-motivated, independent, flexible and personal accountability


    This position will require some travel outside the originating province to meet with user communities.
