    Job Description:

    Our Federal Government client here in Ottawa, Ontario (Canada) has three (3) six (6) month contract opportunities available for IT support technicians (must be fluently Bilingual). You must possess a valid Reliability Status or Secret clearance. If interested please apply directly to derek.weber@experis.com

    Providing helpdesk support and maintenance including adding/deleting client accounts
    Installing and configuring PCs, laptops and peripherals including printers, scanners, personal digital assistants (PDAs)
    Installing and configuring operating systems, application software and various software automation tools and utilities
    Providing technical support (troubleshooting, identifying, fixing, escalating) for problems related to the hardware and/or software components of the operating system, including hard drives, web browsers and applications
    Identifying, escalating and tracking problem tickets associated with specific operating system images
    Developing and maintaining technical documentation
    Performing initial problem analysis and working with other appropriate staff as required to determine resolution
    Apply patches to operating systems in response to specific client problems
    Maintaining liaison with network users and technical staff to communicate the status of problem resolution to network users
    Assisting with hardware life-cycle management
