Enterprise Infrastructure (EI)
EI is that global technology group that delivers the software and hardware technology solutions that make our businesses run. The team manages the production, operations, and engineering of our data centers, voice and data networking solutions, wireless technologies, server and database operations, desktops, servers and mainframes.
Data Delivery & Analysis Technology (DDAT) is a group responsible for design and implementation of reporting systems and data analysis tools for firm-wide use. One of its products called Blastmail, is a high volume bulk email distribution platform used by many groups across the firm. In addition to providing bulk mail distribution, the platform provides services to handle bounced mails, tracking of submitted transactions, and various types of reporting. The platform is currently undergoing a renovation program to address user requirements and growing volumes.
Roles and responsibilities
This candidate will be part of a development team owning & managing the platform. The role also involves working with clients, operation teams to understand their needs and troubleshooting their problems. The person will then take this information and help make the appropriate changes to the platform to help provide a better service. The person will also be deeply involved in the renovation of the platform.
1. Design & develop new applications, enhance and support existing system and applications.
2. Utilize strong object oriented design & programming skills to implement distributed systems of multi-tier architecture.
3. Work closely with internal, external clients and users.
4. Will have the opportunity to participate in system integration efforts and requirements gathering for projects involving multiple teams and systems.
In addition to this, candidate will also work on various integration/special projects that involves working with different business units and stakeholders. The team also works on some R&D and proof-of-concept implementations to integrate new products and technologies in our system.
