ROLES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
Acts as a liaison between Business Analysts, End Users, Developers and Quality Assurance Analysts and to gather, analyze, define and document functional and/or technical requirements for software development projects
Assists in guiding application development and maintenance activities which will help clients meet their business needs
Create process documents, requirements documents
Translate requirements into User Stories or Use Case documents for hand-over to internal and/or external technical teams and subject matter experts
Ability to write test cases to ensure that software meets the quality standards; May assist in the testing of applications
Participate in the preparation of documents such as case studies, request for proposal, data and process flow diagrams, specifications, (QA), training materials, user documentation, etc.
Participate in project teams to implement software solutions
Use Case workshops; Business Modeling and Design walkthroughs
Identify standards to improve the quality of deliverables and processes pertaining to Business Analysis
Assist in developing standards and guidelines for business process modeling for the BA practice
7+ years Business Analyst experience
3+ years professional services experience
Certified Scrum Master
Proficient with Agile, UML and SDLC methodologies with the ability to document requirements using use cases, user stories, high-level requirements, functional and/or non-functional specifications
Experience with a project from the start to the end
Familiar with industry-standard analysis methodologies, but typically has a solid background in the IT industry
Familiarity with web development platforms such as Microsoft .NET and Java
Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
MS Office (including Visio), Visual Studio (Team Foundation Server) & JIRA
Creating Business Requirement Documents
Requirement Traceability Matrices
Has worked in a wide variety of industries (health, financial, manufacturing, ecommerce…) and draws from that experience to mentor others
Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively interface to customers, team members, and other colleagues
Very strong communication capability in English, both spoken and written
Able to work in a diversified environment
Requires a Degree and 7 years of related experience
Candidate must understand business processes, be a detailed-oriented person, be customer-focused and quickly grasp new concepts. The person will have strong presentation, interpersonal, software development and work management skills
Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
Must hold a valid Visa for travel to the USA or a valid Passport
