Position: Project Manager
Salary: from $75K to $100K per year
A very well-established industry leader in manufacturing is seeking an experienced Project Manager for their Montréal office. This is a true project management role that will work with the different internal departments representing each aspect of the project such as engineering, mechanical, purchasing, quality control, logistics and project coordination to oversee and efficiently manage the favorable outcome of the projects.
The manufactured products are complex in nature, have a long cycle of up to two years for each and valued up to $15M. The project management covers from conception and design to the delivery commission with the client. The projects are located throughout Canada and there is about 20% of travel involved in the role.
The Project Manager will oversee, have a global view and interact with the interested parties to ensure a smooth and on-time delivery with minimal disruptions. An important aspect will be to have a strategic approach and ensure that all aspects of the project are moving, anticipating and troubleshooting problems to avoid delays.
This is not a construction project management role.
- At least 5 years of experience in project management for a manufactured product working with Engineering, Design, Purchasing, Logistics and Commissioning
- Fluency in English and French
- Education within a technical field related to manufacturing (considered an asset) as well as any education related to project management
- Autonomy and ability to manage stress
- Strategic, proactive and results-oriented individual with a global view of the business
- Experience working with municipalities and/or an industrial clients – an asset
