  • We are pleased to announce the opening of a permanent full-time position in Operations. The position we are seeking is an Evening Cell Supervisor under the supervision of the Production Director.


    The evening supervisor mandate will be overseeing all assembly, testing and cells employees, including inventory control. He will ensure the proper execution of work while ensuring that products meet the highest quality level. The supervisor must use their staff effectively by assigning work and by distributing workload as directed by day supervisors. Establish and follow the principles of Lean Enterprise.

    Responsibilities

    Using his expertise in electronics, he reports product defects by establishing a
    non-compliance ratio. Through his involvement in the manufacturing process, he raises points that can be improved and puts in place a manufacturing record that will provide the standard times and other data related to manufacturing. He ensures the proper discipline and team effectiveness under his responsibility. He manages the priorities for the evening schedules and continuous improvement projects. He will follow up on the orders for the internal and external clients.



    The ideal candidate will meet the following competencies/qualifications:

    You have a College degree (CEGEP) in electronics or equivalent experience
    You have seven (7) years’ experience as a supervisor in a related field
    You have five (5) years of experience in personnel management
    You have a good knowledge of computer tools such as Microsoft suite and ERP (Epicor) system is an asset.
    You have base knowledge of mechanics and electronics.
    Experience in conducting inventories and managing out of stock parts for work orders in progress
    Prepare, edit and maintain technical documentation for production
    Responsible of providing training for employees under your supervision
    You have good interpersonal skills, good judgment and capacity to work in a team environment
    You demonstrate good initiative, motivation and are resourceful;
    You demonstrate autonomy, organization and maturity
    You are able to work under pressure
    You are flexible and goal oriented
    You have good communication skills (English & French)
    You have solid leadership skills
    You have knowledge of Kaizen, 5S and lean manufacturing are an asset.
