  • Dessau is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant to join its Mechanical/Electrical Department in Gatineau. Reporting to the Department Director, your main task will be to provide administrative support and secretarial services to the department. More specifically, you will:

    Responsibilities

    •Draft, produce and format documents such as specifications, tables, reports, correspondence, meeting minutes, letters, proposals, meeting agendas, etc.;
    •Draft, send and receive faxes and emails;
    •Produce reports using existing templates and prepare presentations;
    •Verify the quality of documents;
    •Make photocopies and assemble large documents;
    •Answer telephone calls and welcome visitors;
    •Organize meeting and business travel logistics;
    •Make improvements to work procedures and tools;
    •File documents and ensure the filing system complies with quality standards;
    •Order office supplies (computers, laptops, cellular phones, cameras, office supplies, safety equipment, etc.) and guidebooks;
    •Coordinate the integration of new employees;
    •On occasion, replace the receptionist and assist other administrative assistants.

    Requirements

    •Vocational Diploma in Secretarial Studies or Office Automation;
    •Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office, Outlook and Internet Explorer;
    •Excellent knowledge of written French and English;
    •Spoken French and English;
    •Motivated, autonomous, team player, capable of working under pressure, fast worker, excellent organizational skills, available to do overtime on occasion.
