Administrative Assistant

DESCRIPTION

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for: Providing administrative support and performing complex administrative duties, which require an in depth understanding of corporate activities and practices. In addition, they will perform a wide variety of duties for which there are not always clear procedures and may be called upon to deal with issues and manage situations of an ambiguous nature, which require sound judgment.

* Manage calendars.

* Manage emails according to their degree of priority.

* Filter incoming telephone calls; respond to inquiries on a variety of issues that involve the department.

* Coordinate and arrange travel, meetings and conferences.

* Prepare documents, letters, presentations, reports and graphs, which require in depth knowledge of various word processing software.

* Perform various searches and draft reports, including preparation of budget information.

* Compile and maintain data for the production of various reports on department activities.

* All other related tasks.

REQUIREMENTS

* Technical (college) degree, with a minimum of three (3) years of experience.

* Fluent in French and English both orally and in writing (ease with spelling, proofreading, punctuation and grammar).

* Excellent understanding of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and
PowerPoint).

* Strong organization, management, priority setting and multitasking skills.

* Demonstrates professionalism, resourcefulness and independence.
