Position: Payroll Technician – part time (30 hours per week)
Salary: from $35K to $40K per year

Our client, a manufacturing company, is looking to hire a Payroll Technician for their office in Lachine for a contract of 15 months.
In this role reporting directly to the Controller, you will be an integral part of the Financial team with responsibilities covering the management of the full payroll cycle for 1,500 employees, the preparation of government reports and assistance with the month-end process.
- DEC in Accounting
- ACP/PCP or in progress
- Excellent bilingualism (French/English), both spoken and written
- 4 years of experience in payroll
- Experience with ADP
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office
- Process payroll for 1,500 employees from A to Z
- Ensure payroll calculation accuracy
- Act as the contact person for employees and Managers
- Update employees' files
- Ensure procedures comply with legislation
- Prepare governmental reports
- Calculate and update employees' vacation files
- Administer benefits (DAS, pension, insurance…)
- Complete month-end and year-end procedures (journal entries, GL’s account reconciliation, etc.)
