The incumbent's main responsibility is to proactively contact potential, pre-qualified clients to seize new business opportunities and increase awareness about BDC and its products, with the goal of getting an appointment and/or referring the opportunities to a business centre.
-Use persuasion and sales techniques to connect with potential clients who have shown an interest in BDC and to seize new business opportunities, with the goal of getting meetings for account managers and/or referring the opportunities to a business centre.
-Before referring them to a business centre, assess the potential of the financing and/or consulting opportunities in compliance with BDC's policies, practices and quality standards.
-Follow up on financing opportunities with the business centres.
-Take a tactful and diplomatic approach to rejecting requests that do not meet BDC's criteria or policies while ensuring that the client clearly understands the reasons for the rejection; direct the client towards other solutions.
-Process telephone calls in a courteous, appropriate and professional manner at all times. -Validate client needs in order to promote relevant BDC products and services.
-Validate client/lead information in accordance with the standards and procedures and enter it in BDC's various applications, ensuring its quality and accuracy.
-Stay abreast of BDC policies and practices regarding financing and consulting solutions.
-Receive complaints and, using his/her influence, take the necessary measures to find a solution that satisfies both the client and BDC.
-Maintain strong business relationships with the network.
-If necessary at certain times of the year, fulfill the duties of Contact Centre Analyst.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
-College diploma or certificate in administration (or equivalent)
-Experience in sales or lead-generation (an asset)
-At least three years' relevant experience
SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
-Excellent financial-analysis skills
-Excellent communication and business-development skills
-Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
-Aptitude for learning new software
-Strong client focus
-Available to work between 08:30 and 19:00 (7 hours a day), five days a week on a rotating basis, Monday to Friday
