Study: U.S. mothers deserve $134,121 in salary
According to Salary.com, new research now puts a dollar value on the work done by stay-at-home moms. Despite the lure of these big bucks, most husbands dont want to take over the household duties. The article includes a link to a salary calculator where full-time moms can calculate their net worth.

Despite decreases in the jobless rate, summer employment prospects for Canadian students currently hover around the same levels as two decades ago. Yet, an increasing number of full-time students must seek part-time employment year round to deal with ballooning debt loads from credit cards and student loans.

Immigrants walk off the job in boycott
Perhaps the post-millennial, faux-documentary movie "A Day Without Mexicans" inspired migrant workers of Latino descent to play hooky on May 1. Instead of going to their jobs, they took their work-related concerns to the streets. Many crossed the American border illegally and sought amnesty. Meanwhile, the U.S. government wants to build a fortified border to prevent this problem in the future.

A recent study shows that retirement-aged individuals are not willing to give up the daily grind just yet. So, many take on jobs that allow them to continue to contribute on a regular basis. This time around, though, the almighty dollar, in the form of a salary, can be less important.
