HEALTH/WELLNESS
Curbing illness a core business priority
Ah, the crisp autumn morning air. However, fall also marks the beginning of the flu season. Panic takes hold in the workplace, along with growing fears that the virus is lurking in every corner, and in the ventilation ducts, the water cooler and lunchroom refrigerator. Once the outbreak strikes, it's only a matter of time before the number of vacant work cubicles increases at an alarming rate. Resumés
How to write a resumé
Everyone knows a job-hunting hobbyist who is constantly responding to online job postings while the rest of the world is out enjoying their weekends. If you're in the market for a new job, you'll need to spice up your resumé/cover letter combo. While cover letters are pretty basic, there are various types of resumés to choose from. Which one is best for you? Well, it depends on your previous experience and the field of work you're applying for. Ask the hobbyist; perhaps it's best to have a couple of different versions on-hand.

Are you... a victim of workplace bullying ? According to a random phone survey, nearly 30 percent of respondents said they still fall victim to rude or inappropriate behaviour at work, reminiscent of their high school days. Here some expert advice on dealing with the situation:
  • Avoid confiding in the office gossip. Doing so may jeopardize your reputation with colleagues.
