Web Matters
Jobboom.com will now be able to gain more insight into our members' online behaviour thanks to a partnership between CANOE (our parent company) and Omniture, a leading provider of online business optimization software. With Omniture Web analytics technology, Jobboom can measure and study visitor behaviour, identify which products are most popular, get a better idea of what visitors are searching for and identify potential usability problems. All this will ultimately help us optimize visitor experience!

CYBERFINDS

PAYDAY
Women's pay catches up months later

TRENDSPOTTING
Waiting for boomers to retire
According to Rufus Wainwright, Montreal is the "finest bohemian city in North America." It's a gathering place for the best and the brightest twenty- and thirty-somethings to pursue music, art, culture, and perhaps fame, before entering the job market. CAREER PATH
'Helicopter' parents hover
If you're keen on your mother doing your laundry and tidying your room, don't be surprised if she wants to suggest job opportunities, help you with your cover letter and drive you to your first job interview. Just make sure she stays in the car. There is no end to motherly love, but they tend to say the most embarrassing things in crucial situations. So clean your room, iron a shirt, get out the door on time and nail your first interview all by yourself.
