Is telecommuting losing luster?
The latest poll from Down Under shows that 13 per cent of respondents dislike the effects of telecommuting on their lives, whether this means working from home or being "always on" due to the latest wireless gadgetry. However, overall, the government report painted a positive picture of this emerging business practice.

Like U.S., other nations see a hiring wave
This is a snapshot of the current state of the global economy with particular emphasis on unemployment rates across industrialized countries as fodder for speculation about inflation and the prime interest rates of central banks. Job markets are tighter in Canada and the United States than elsewhere, but not yet tight enough for employees to behave like mercenaries.

IBM worker says he was fired for chat room addiction
This looks like a case for Judge Judy. A former IBM research facility employee is suing for wrongful dismissal, claiming that instead he should receive treatment for his chat room addiction. The employer claims that he was dismissed not for using a chat room but for entering a site with adult content while at work.
