Few employees are aware that North America's commercial real estate bubble is about to pop. Office space in Calgary is more expensive than in Toronto. Yet, due to overdevelopment, Calgary could see double-digit vacancy rates over the next five years-bottoming out in 2012. New York is also in the same predicament. Perhaps in the future, low-income artists will repurpose the empty glass towers into bohemian lofts.
