Ah, the Swedish enigma. This country’s employees won’t show up at work on their own - they have to be coaxed! While most Swedes claim to be happy on the job, they have no qualms about calling in “sick.” As a result, corporate Sweden is battling the highest rates of absenteeism in all of Europe. As such, the most forward-thinking companies are trying to make the workplace a more desirable place by throwing in yoga classes, fruit baskets, shiatsu massages and the like.
